I am the father of Kelly.  I am a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, Vietnam Veteran, disabled, with 46 decorations and awards, and I am heavily involved in community volunteer activities.  I am a past Commander of VFW Posts around the country..  I have volunteered in hospitals for many years while accruing thousands of hours of service and for the past 18 years have performed funeral services for veterans at national and local cemeteries, ceremonies that now number in the hundreds if not thousands.  Additionally, I maintain a nationally number one ranked veterans support website and write a newspaper to better inform our veterans about ongoing programs to help them.  My daughter and her husband are school teachers and highly respected members of their community.  My wife is from Germany and is, too, involved in the community as a volunteer. Nearly every male member of my family throughout history has served our country in uniform, many as a career opportunity.  We are an honorable family who love and defend our country.

I am proud of my son and his heroic service in the military.  I do not condone his being unfaithful on that night, but this conviction is without merit and is a total insult to the military and American justice systems.  I ask you to send letters to your congressman, military leaders, or anyone else of importance that can demand an immediate review of this travesty.

Thank you.
